Has Mel B found someone to take her mind off awkward Geri Horner reunion?

Her confession of a fling with band mate Geri Halliwell in the 90s has dominated the build up to this summer’s Spice Girls tour.

But it appears Mel B may have found someone to help her take her mind off any awkwardness ahead of the reunion.

It appears the 43-year-old has been getting close to Snow Patrol bassist Paul Wilson.

The pair have been spending a lot of time together ahead of a very busy next few months, according to The Sun .

Mel caused chaos with her admission that she and Ginger Spice Geri slept together in the group’s heyday.

But she has found someone to distract her with the UK tour now only six weeks away.

“Mel is making the most of being single and is finally in a good place to have a bit of fun after a horrible couple of years dealing with her divorce from Stephen Belafonte,” said a source.

“She’s signed up to a few dating apps to meet new people outside her circle when she matched with Paul.

“He is not her usual type but she thought he was cute, and he clearly felt the same and they’ve since been on a few dates. Mel’s definitely not looking for anything too serious right now, but they got on great.”

Scary swerved the first day of rehearsals as she was thousands of miles away from London at her home in sunny Los Angeles.

But it wasn’t to avoid seeing Geri – she had a court date relating to her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte

A source said: “She would have loved to have beeen in London with the girls but legal matters prevented her from doing so.

“But the choreographer is the next best thing and making sure she is not missing out too much. Mel is determined to work hard to ensure she is in tip-top shape.”

Mel, 43, looked incredibly chilled out on Instagram as she struck a peace sign in her leopard print bikini but she is said to be dreading the first meeting with Geri since her tell-all interview to Piers Morgan.
