Eminem treated audiences to a surprise performance of Lose Yourself at tonight’s Oscars 2020 sparking an internet frenzy.

The rapper, 47, popped onto the stage to entertain the crowds at the 92nd Academy Awards and prompted some interesting reactions – including Martin Scorsese appearing to have a small nap in the middle of it.

Has Eminem won an Oscar?

Eminem picked up an Oscar back in 2002 for best original song for Lose Yourself, which featured in the film 8 Mile.

The artist beat the likes of U2 and Paul Simon to the gong at the 75th Academy Awards ceremony.

The Academy Award for Best Original Song is one of the awards given annually to people working in the motion picture industry by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

It is presented to the songwriters who have composed the best original song written specifically for a film.

Who performed at the Oscars 2020?

The Oscars 2020 was comprised of a number of performances across the evening.

Janelle Monae opened the star-studded ceremony alongside Pose actor Billy Porter, and she sneakily threw in an ‘Oscars is so white’ lyric during her set.

Meanwhile, Chrissy Metz, Idina Menzel, Cynthia Erivo and Randy Newman also took to the stage.
