Harry Styles has announced the new dates for his 2022 Love On Tour in the UK, and the timing is very interesting indeed.
The former One Direction star has carved out a hugely successful solo career with multiple chart-topping singles, a recent US tour and being named as a headline act for Coachella 2022.
Now Harry is returning to the UK for a new mega-tour, including rescheduled dates initially postponed due to the pandemic, as well as several new shows – and his first-ever stadiums.
The new dates include Glasgow’s Ibrox Stadium on June 11, followed by Manchester’s Emirates Old Trafford on June 15 and London’s Wembley Stadium on June 18.
A show has also been announced for Dublin, Ireland on June 22, and Hamburg, Germany on June 26 – but there’s a nice little gap in between, in case the Watermelon Sugar star wanted to make a stop off at a certain major music festival.
Glastonbury is taking place for the first time this summer since 2019, after it was cancelled twice due to the pandemic, spanning from June 22 to 26 – giving Harry ample time to visit Somerset should he be tempted.
Part of the Glastonbury 2022 line-up has already been revealed, with Billie Eilish headlining the Pyramid Stage and Diana Ross taking on a legends slot, but there’s still plenty more to be announced… so watch this space.
Regardless of whether the 27-year-old is set for a Glastonbury appearance, his fans have plenty to look forward to at his scheduled shows.
UK fans will be treated to a fantastic opening act, with Mitski confirmed to be taking to the stage to get the crowd warmed up.
Meawhile, Arlo Parks will open for Harry in Dublin, Wolf Alice on special European dates and Koffee across all Latin American dates.
Harry will kick off the major 32-city tour with the Glasgow show in the UK, and those who had tickets for the original 2020 UK Arena tour dates may be refunded and offered an exclusive access presale for the new stadium shows in Glasgow, Manchester and London.
Tickets for the new shows go on general sale at 9am on Friday, January 28 from LiveNation.co.uk.
