Harry Potter actor Tom Felton was seen being stretchered off a golf course following an incident during a celebrity game.

The 34-year-old actor took part in a practice day ahead of the Ryder Cup at the Whistling Straits Golf Course in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on Thursday.

Tom, who plays Draco Malfoy in the blockbuster wizarding franchise, was seen sitting on the floor surrounded by colleagues as a medical team rushed to help him up. He was then carried to a stretcher laid out on the back of a cart and driven away.

It’s not clear what caused the medical emergency but reports suggest he collapsed.

Video footage taken by an onlooker in the stands revealed how the audience cheered Tom on as he was being driven away from the course.

Other stars who took part in the friendly game included; Teemu Selanne, Mandy Rose, Toni Kukoc, Mike Eruzione, Stephanie Szostak, A.J. Hawk, Dan Jansen, Alessandro Del Piero, Kelly Slater and Sasha Vujacic.

Tom was competing for Europe in the six-a-side Ryder Cup Celebrity Match, which traditionally precedes the main event.

The British actor is known to be a keen golf fan and has been spotted reuniting with his Harry Potter co-star, James Phelps, for friendly games at least twice in the past year.

Tom rose to fame starring in the first Harry Potter movie Philosopher’s Stone, based on the JK Rowling books, in 2001 when he was just 13 years old.

Last year, the actor watched the film for the first time in years and shared his reaction with fans on social media.

Taking a walk down memory lane, Tom watched precisely the first 11 minutes and 11 seconds of the flick.

However, it quickly became a bit too much as he teared up while watching Professor Dumbledore leave baby Harry on the Dursley’s doorstep.

After Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was released, the series became one of the biggest franchises in the world.

The magic ended with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 in 2011.

Metro.co.uk has contacted Tom’s reps for comment.
