Harry Kane became the first England player to score in every game in a qualifying campaign as Gareth Southgate’s side thrashed Kosovo in their final Euro 2020 qualifier.

The Three Lions secured their place at next summer’s Euros with a 7-0 win over Montenegro and ensured they finished the qualifying campaign on a high with a 4-0 victory over Kosovo on Sunday evening.

Harry Winks’ first England goal put the visitors ahead at half-time and Southgate’s charge pulled away from Kosovo in the second-half through Kane, Marcus Rashford and Mason Mount.

Kane doubled England’s lead with ten minutes remaining and in doing so became the first England player to score in every game of a qualifying campaign.

The Tottenham striker also became the first England player in 90 years to register 12 goals in a calendar year, having netted 12 goals throughout the Euro 2020 qualifiers.

England’s win means they are set to be top seeds in the Euro 2020 draw, which takes place on November 30.

Reacting to the 4-0 thrashing, Tottenham star Kane said: ‘It was a difficult game. The pitch was poor and they were really up for it.

‘But we got it right in the end. As a striker I want to be scoring goals and winning games. It was great to get another goal there. Hopefully I can keep that going.’

Winks, meanwhile, added: ‘It’s a dream come true to score for my country. To score and also with the way we were playing as well, it’s a great moment for me.’
