Harry Enfield 'banned' from meeting Queen's son after refusing royal request


“I was just about to go on and someone said, ‘Your Royal Highness Prince Edward is about to come in, and you’ve got to stand up and call him Sir’,” he told the Daily Mail.

“I went, ‘I’m not standing up… and I’m not calling him Sir – he’s a bloke my age’.”

Elsewhere, Harry, who plays Prince Charles in the Channel 4 show The Windsors, reportedly issued an apology to Prince Charles after learning the future king thought his portrayal was “quite cruel”.

The comedian had been quoted as saying: “I was told that Prince Charles thought it was very cruel.”
