Harrison Ford responds to Star Wars Han Solo theory: ‘What is a Force ghost?’

Harrison Ford is completely baffled by the latest Star Wars theory circulating the online universe about Han Solo and, apparently, he doesn’t care either.

*** SPOILERS AHEAD ***

If you’ve watched the most recent Star Wars movies, you’ll remember that Harrison’s lead character Han Solo died after being killed by his own son Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in 2015’s The Force Awakens.

Yep, pretty savage.

So Star Wars fans were overjoyed when Harrison made a brief cameo in The Rise of Skywalker, the final installment of the latest trilogy, last year.

However, many are convinced that Han Solo returned as a ghost due to him not being a Jedi or Force Sensitive.

Clearly Harrison has better things to do than trawl through the endless Star Wars theories as he seemed oblivious to the suggestion of a Force Ghost when interviewed by USA Today.

‘A Force ghost? I don’t know what a Force ghost is,’ Harrison admitted ever so frankly.

He then added brilliantly: ‘Don’t tell anyone. I’m not talking loud enough for your recorder. I have no [expletive] idea what a Force ghost is. And I don’t care!’

Well that’s settled, then. Gulp.

Harrison went on to reveal how director JJ Abrams persuaded him to reprise his role in The Rise of Skywalker, but the actor was concerned about a pretty important factor.

‘When JJ asked me to do it, I said, “Are you kidding? I’m dead!” Harrison recalled.

‘He said, “Sorta dead. You can do this”. He hadn’t written anything at that time. But he said, “This is going to be great”.

‘So I said okay. If JJ asked you do something, you’d probably do it too. He’s a very persuasive guy.’

The most recent Star Wars trilogy, which transformed newcomers Daisy Ridley and John Boyega into household names, has ended but Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy recently teased what the next series in the long-running franchise might look like.

When asked by BBC News whether they could see a female director in the future, Kathlee responded: ‘Oh absolutely, without question. We’ve already got [female directors].

‘We’re doing Mandalorian and we’ve got two or three fantastic women working with Star Wars, and we just brought in Deborah Chow, who’s doing the Obi-Wan [Kenobi] series. We’re cultivating a lot of great talent.’
