Halsey and Gigi Hadid are just some of the many stars slamming Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta, and standing with Taylor Swift after her latest shocking statement.

The Lover hitmaker, who took aim at Braun after he bought her back catalogue of music in a deal she branded ‘gross’, again took to social media to pen a message to fans.

In the statement, she claimed that Braun and Borchetta were stopping her from performing her music live on television as it would constitute her re-recording her music before she’s ‘allowed’ to next year.

Celebs have come out in their droves to support the singer, with #IStandWithTaylor trending on Twitter.

Gigi wrote on Twitter: ‘Scott and Scooter, you know what the right thing to do is.Taylor and her fans deserve to celebrate the music!!’

Retweeting Taylor’s statement, Lily Allen added: ‘Solidarity with Taylor here, this sounds awful, and people wonder why music hasn’t had its #MeToo moment ?’

Halsey told fans she was ‘trying to choose her words wisely’ before stating: ‘Not only are we looking at an awful business move, (because one would be incentivized to allow Taylor to perform her songs seeing as it would direct to rediscovery of a catalog they currently profit off of?????) but this is just mean.

‘This is punishment. This is hoping to silence her from speaking about things by dangling this over her head.

‘These people are protected because they inspire complicity with fear. Banking on the illusion that people will not stand up for her.

‘That the world will say she is over reacting. You’re barking up the wrong tree. It is her grace and patience in these moments that make her Artist of the Decade.’

Rebecca Black ‘came through’ for fans when she commented on the row, writing on Twitter: ‘what a complete power pull @scooterbraun @scottborchetta.

‘The way this industry is set up, there are times where we have to get legal permission to perform anything we share rights to. but denying access like this is solely to play with and diminish a person.’

Meanwhile, Tinashe simply told Taylor: ‘F*** that. We’re with you.’

The 29-year-old pleaded with fans for their help in her statement, writing: ‘Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun have now said that I’m not allowed to perform my old songs on television because they claim that would be re-recording my music before I’m allowed to next year.’

Taylor then claimed that Scott – founder of her former label, Big Machine – would only allow her to use her old music if she stopped plans to re-record her original music.

She added: ‘The message being sent to me is very clear. Basically, be a good little girl and shut up. Or you’ll be punished.

‘This is WRONG. Neither of these men had a hand in the writing of those songs. They did nothing to create the relationship I have with my fans. So this is where I’m asking for your help.’
