Halloween-inspired baby names revealed – including Autumn, Freddy and Buffy

IF you’re about to pop or just found out you’re expecting it’s never too early to think about baby names.

And with autumn in full swing, you can draw inspiration from the season and give your little one a Halloween-inspired name.

From nature to classic films, the spooky holiday is filled with baby names with a scary twist.

Website Nameberry revealed the season’s top choices, and we’ve selected our favourites.

For girls there are TV heroines Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, as well as Wednesday Adams, to choose from.

More nature-inspired names include Autumn, Belladonna, Raven, Misty and Luna.

But if you want a name with a bit of backstory, Pandora or Jinx are two great options.

Boys have a lot of scary names in popular culture to choose from.

Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Casper the Friendly Ghost, Chucky, Freddy Kreuger, and Draco Malfoy are all well-recognised classics.

But if you want a name with some tradition, Damian, Lazarus, Salem and Valdimir all have tons of history.

And there are more mainstream names which have a Halloween-twist, with Jack and Jason popular all-year round.
