Harrods has announced it will open a new standalone beauty store in Spring 2020, named H Beauty.
The 23,000sq ft store will open at Lakeside Shopping Centre, Essex, closely followed by a second location in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
And to ensure all customers are adequately hydrated, H Beauty will also house a ‘coffee-to-cocktail’ bar.
The news of H Beauty follows hot on the tails of major beauty expansion for the brand, which was founded in 1849.
Commenting on the launch, Harrods’ Director of Beauty, Annalise Fard, said: “From the rise of K-Beauty and J-Beauty to personalisation, the ability to express our individuality through beauty today is extraordinary. We are entering an era of true self-expression, empowerment and celebration of identity, and I can’t wait for H beauty to be a destination for beauty lovers to play, explore and try.”
H Beauty will in no way resemble Harrods, even the branding has been redesigned, with Harrods’ signature forest green packaging having been ditched in favour of a muted blush pink.
Overseen by Fard, Harrods’ beauty department in the Knightsbridge flagship is in the midst of a three-stage overhaul.
Over the summer, the Beauty Halls opened with cosmetics and lifestyle brands, earlier this month, more than 40 brands opened in the store’s newly-refurbished Skincare Emporium and at the end of January, a treatment space and beauty concierge service will be revealed as the final instalment of the development.
Once all stages of the beauty overhaul are complete, the halls will be 53 per cent bigger than the previous space.
H Beauty will open at Lakeside Shopping Centre, Essex, in Spring 2020 with an exact date still TBC.
