Gwyneth Paltrow is letting fans get up close and personal in a very unexpected way with her new This Smells Like My Vagina candle.

Do we want to know who’s been buying it? Probably not.

Retailing for $75 (£57) on the website for the actress’s lifestyle brand Goop, the candle literally does what it says on the tin, with the scent being described as ‘funny, gorgeous, sexy, and beautifully unexpected.’

Because what’s better than a ‘funny’ scent?

Describing how on earth the candle came to be, the description on the site reads: ‘This candle started as a joke between perfumer Douglas Little and GP—the two were working on a fragrance, and she blurted out, “Uhhh..this smells like a vagina”—but evolved into a funny, gorgeous, sexy, and beautifully unexpected scent.

It’s currently sold out (Picture: Goop, com)

‘(That turned out to be perfect as a candle—we did a test run at an In goop Health, and it sold out within hours.)

‘It’s a blend of geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed that puts us in mind of fantasy, seduction, and a sophisticated warmth.’

We still have many, many more questions, but sure.

Although the candle’s currently sold out, fans shouldn’t be disheartened as they can add themselves to a wait list so they can be notified when it’s back in stock.

Gwyneth, who recently claimed she’s given up acting for good, has faced mixed reactions to her lifestyle brand.

While the Avengers star had Jimmy Fallon in stitches after the pair tried out some of her products on The Tonight Show, Susanna Reid previously hit out at the website.

Meanwhile, the 47-year-old has also been giving us an insight into her marriage, joking that her ‘sex life is over’ after her husband Brad Falchuk moved in with her.

Her reasoning mystified us even more when she claimed that their separate homes created ‘polarity’ in their marriage, whatever that means.

On the commotion their unconventional set-up created, the star told Harper’s Bazaar US: ‘I thought it was really interesting how resonant that was for people.

‘One of my best friends was like, “That is my dream. Don’t ever move in”. I think it certainly helps with preserving mystery and also preserving the idea that this person has their own life.

‘So this is something I’m trying to remain aware of now as we merge together.’
