GTA 5 Online players will soon be able to step foot in the highly anticipated casino location.
Ever since GTA 5 launched almost six years ago Grand Theft Auto players have been promised that a casino is “opening soon”.
But as the years went by so did the wait for the GTA casino to actually open its doors, with the promise of a new gambling den becoming a meme among GTA fans.
However, in the run-up to E3 2019 a GTA 5 Online patch removed the “opening soon” sign while construction cones were placed near the front entrance.
It sparked speculation that the GTA casino could at least be opening in Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online.
And now Rockstar Games has confirmed that the GTA casino is coming soon.
In a tweet this evening the Rockstar Games Twitter posted: “Opening soon: A luxury casino in the heart of Vinewood”.
After the “opening soon” sign disappeared from the casino last week a popular dataminer revealed that its doors would be opening soon.
GTA dataminer Tezfun tweeted: “There were rumors that GTAO Next Update will feature the casino, I can confirm it.
“Just now, R* have updated the background script to set specific dates that will apply changes to the casino.
“You’ll notice changes happening near the casino as we move closer to release.#GTAOnline”.
GTA 5 and GTA Online fans are speculating that the casino could open when a brand new update launches at the end of June or early July.
