GTA 5 Online Diamond Casino Heist: PS4 and Xbox news before Grand Theft Auto release

GTA 5 Online is getting a big Casino update this week which is expected to offer more than just a new Heist.

Grand Theft Auto gamers have been looking out for new clues regarding Rockstar Games’ next project and they’re hoping they might be hidden in this upcoming DLC.

There’s plenty of rumours surrounding GTA 6 but that game still seems far away and fans are also very interested in hearing what will be changing next week in GTA Online.

And even if the next GTA 5 Casino update doesn’t provide much in the way of answers for Grand Theft Auto 6, it might offer some other less direct clues.

GTA 5 ONLINE CASINO HEIST

As confirmed by Rockstar Games, the new GTA 5 Diamond Casino Heist is scheduled to be released on Thursday, December 12, 2019.

This will be made available on PS4, Xbox One and PC and is expected to be launched in the morning, GMT.

And Rockstar Games has also confirmed that the new Casino missions will be different from other heists featured in-game.

Based on the location, the new Diamond Casino Heist is set to become the most cash-rich mission available.

Gamers will also have to take the unprecedented step of setting up a new front business to get things rolling.

On top of all that, the new Casino Heist is also going to be the most replayable missions ever made for GTA Online.

“The Diamond Casino Heist is an all-new approach to Heist architecture and execution: one huge gameplay-packed operation as you work with the Cheng family to infiltrate the most secure building in all of Los Santos,” Rockstar Games confirms.

“Featuring a diverse range of opportunities for set-up and prep missions that shape your plan of attack, multiple paths of approach, constantly changing security measures and a dizzying array of choices once inside.

“Expect outcomes for you and your crew to change on the fly as you deal with each new situation, leading to more choices mid-mission.

“Even if the best laid plans go sideways, you’ll have the opportunity to keep the mission afloat without failing by shooting your way out with your remaining team lives, all allowing the Heist to be highly replayable with new scenarios unfolding each time.

“In order to plan the biggest Heist ever perpetrated in Los Santos, Heist crew leaders will setup an unexpected new commercial venture as a front, a retro Arcade business property shrouding the nerve center within where Heist operations are staged and rehearsed.

“While the business runs above, down below you can practice hacking keypads or cracking vault doors, store equipment and getaway vehicles, and owners of existing businesses can add a Master Control Terminal to handle all current operations.”

And perhaps this is the biggest hint of what GTA 6 could play like in the future. Online heists became the most popular missions available when they first launched.

They took a long time to arrive but they also helped propel GTA Online forward into new territory.

GTA 6 could offer something even bigger, although we will have to wait to hear more about it from the studio.

And speaking of clues hidden in the new GTA Online DLC, fans think they may have found one.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted that during one point in the GTA trailer a world map is shown on screen.

And, interestingly, South America is the only continent that is highlighted on the world map.

It has left fans wondering whether this is a subtle nod from Rockstar Games that Brazil – as rumoured – will feature in GTA 6.

Fans will be left wondering if more clues are set to be discovered in the coming days.
