Mason Greenwood should get the nod ahead of Marcus Rashford when it comes to picking Man Utd’s No 9 according to Paul Scholes.
The two academy graduates are part of an electric Red Devils front line that also includes the likes of Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been able to revel in deploying a counter-attacking style that best makes use of their forward pace.
But most of the Norwegian’s options are more effective from wider positions and there is a debate as to who should start centrally for United.
Greenwood has risen through the ranks art Carrington and revealed to Rio Ferdinand that he always had ambitions of being a front man.

He said on BT Sport : “I’m happy to play on the right, I’m happy to play up front, I’m not really sure.
“But I always wanted to be a striker when I was younger.”
United have been accused of lacking a centre-forward who can consistently come up with 25 goals a season.
Former Red Devil Andy Cole recently doubted Rashford’s ability to be a clinical goal scorer.
Last term Greenwood scored 17 times last term – five fewer than Rashford.

But the 19-year-old is hailed as the best finisher at Old Trafford and Scholes believes he is set for big things.
He said: “It’s between Rashford and Greenwood who plays in that centre forward role.
“I think the club and everybody thinks Greenwood is the best finisher at the club so therefore he would be better as the No9.
“The only problem is when Rashford’s played on the right he hasn’t really found his best form so they could switch round quite a bit.
“Give Greenwood chances he will score. He is destined to be a superstar. He’s got to keep his feet on the ground, keep working hard and there’s nothing to stop him.”
