Great British Bake Off 2019 rivals Alice Fevronia and Henry Bird are 'secretly dating'


Alice Fevronia, 28, and Henry Bird, 20, are said to have struck up a romance after meeting on this year’s series of The Great British Bake Off. According to The Sun, the rival contestants have been on several dates following filming together for the popular Channel 4 baking show. Alice, who is a geography teacher, has reportedly already introduced student Henry to her friends. A source told the publication the pair “have a lot in common”.

They said: “The Bake Off contestants do become very close, and Alice and hit it off from the start as they have a lot in common. 

“They confided in each other a lot during the process, which can be quite intense at times. 

“And since filming finished they have been spending more time together — including a few dates.” 

The insider added: “It is early days but they are a lovely couple and seem very happy.”

Express.co.uk has contacted The Great British Bake Off’s representatives for comment.

Alice and Henry recently shared snaps on Instagram from their day out to the Tate Modern in London.

The teacher posted a sweet selfie with the fellow GBBO contestant on her story.

The duo were pictured pulling silly faces for the camera as Alice added the caption: “One day more!!!”

Alice also shared a smiley picture with Henry alongside a series of photos of her weekend in London last month in view of her 15,000 followers.

She captioned the gallery of snaps: “Nothing beats a sunny bank holiday weekend!! 

“It was wonderful catching up with friends and @henryfabird It’s Bake Off Eve and I am SO EXCITED!!”

The couple’s friends and co-stars commented on the post, including Bake Off star Helena Garcia who wrote: “You two couldn’t possibly be more adorable.”

Michael Chakraverty, who is also on this year’s show, added: “Such a beautiful couple.”

Henry and Alice have so far been successful in the competition and have made it past the first four eliminations.

Alice was also awarded with the coveted star baker title in week two.

Last week’s episode was dairy week, which saw contestants baking Bengali sweets called mishtis. 

Shop assistant Steph Blackwell was given the prize of star baker, while HGV driver Phil Thorne exited the show.  

The Great British Bake Off continues on Tuesday at 8pm on Channel 4.
