The Black Friday sales season is here! The best deals are not always on Amazon. The prices shown below are the best available now, though you may need to buy quickly as some deals will sell out.
Budding streamers, this one’s for you: Elgato has discounted its core range of capture cards for the Black Friday weekend, and you can save as much as £60 on one if you act fast.
The biggest and best discount is on the Elgato HD60 S, which is down to just £100 at both Amazon and Currys – when it normally costs £160. Not bad for a card that we still consider the best capture card around, given its bang for your buck.
The HD60 S lets you stream and record gameplay in 1080p at up to 60fps – in case the name didn’t give it away – which is more than enough for most streamers, as once you hit higher quality than that your bandwidth is just as likely to become a problem.
The HD60 S is an external capture card, but if you’d rather an internal PCIe card for a desktop build, then the HD60 Pro is down to £125 on Amazon, or £130 on Currys, when it normally costs £170 – so almost as much of a bargain.
Finally, if you really do want next-gen quality, the 4K60 Pro MK.2 is only a little more at £150 – it’s also an internal card, but can capture and stream at up to 4K. For only £20, you might as well make the upgrade and future-proof your setup if you’re tempted.
