Gordon Ramsay’s neighbours launch another furious attack as he’s forced to deny almost causing a car crash

CORNWALL locals have launched another furious attack on Gordon Ramsay – by accusing him of jumping a red light on his bike and ‘almost causing an accident’.

The 53-year-old chef, who fled London to isolate in his £4million holiday home in the county, has denied the road user’s claims and says the incident didn’t happen.

Gordon went for a 26.2-mile “Sunday funday” bike ride at the weekend in place of the London Marathon he was due to run, posing with his baby son Oscar in a picture on Instagram.

But a picture of the TV star, taken by an angry Cornish local, showing him dressed in the same cycling gear he was wearing on Sunday, was posted on Facebook claiming he’d ridden through a red light.

The local said they were out ferrying essential supplies when the incident took place, claiming: “I was delivering some shopping to my daughter and this t**t decides to go through a red light at Trewornan Bridge.

“Very nearly could have been a nasty accident as a car was coming the other way who had to slam on his brakes!”

“I didn’t realise it was him at first he was travelling with another man and a lady. The other man also went through the red light, but the lady stopped at the red light.”

The Sun Online contacted Gordon’s rep, who says the claims are untrue and the incident “didn’t happen”.

The multi-millionaire TV star landed in some locals’ bad books after he and his family – including wife Tana, 21-year-old Meghan, 20-year-old twins Holly and Jack, 17-year-old Tilly, and Oscar – moved to their second home.

Earlier this month, one of his neighbours threatened to call the police after they swapped London for their Westcountry mansion at the start of lockdown.

Writing on social media, the local seethed: “Don’t you realise that by doing that you’ve possibly brought the virus with you and because Cornwall is not your main residence, if you and your family get sick you will place yet more strain on an already fragile infrastructure.

“I’m reporting you to the police. What you’ve done is against the law and I hope they force you back to London.”

And some followers were unhappy with him cycling around the county too with one writing: “Get yourself back in the house, what the f**k.”
