Gordon Ramsay looks unrecognisable as he goes undercover as a woman for TV show

Gordon Ramsay put a lot of effort into his disguise for the latest season of 24 Hours To Hell and Back.

The 53-year-old chef dressed up as a woman in an effort to hide his true identity on the show, keeping a low profile in front of the restaurant bosses.

Naming his alter ego “Libby Lou”, Gordon worked a long blonde wig, lashings of lippy and a wide-brimmed sun hat for the disguise.

In the latest episode of the US series, the foul-mouthed chef dined out at the Southern Kitchen in Richmond, Virginia.

Diners appeared none the wiser to the celebrity in their presence, as he investigated why the restaurant was on the brink of disaster.

Tricking diners with his disguise, he joined an all-female book club to quiz locals about their thoughts on the restaurant.

Halfway through the meal, he stood up and tossed off his wig, revealing his true identity.

The series sees the TV chef spend one day turning around a failing business, putting his expert knowledge to the test.

Run by a tight-knit family, the Southern Kitchen was near closure after a bankruptcy threat – meaning Gordon had a serious challenge on his hands.

Hyping up the episode, he told fans: “Trust me, this is a bit of a page-turner.”

24 Hours To Hell and Back is the most recent addition to Ramsay’s list of US spin-offs

Gordon has put his name to a whole host of TV shows in the states, from the explosive Hell’s Kitchen to Kitchen Nightmares.

Running since 2018, 24 Hours To Hell and Back has seen more success than others, as the third season gets underway this month.
