Google Maps Street View: Man caught in painful predicament

Google Maps is a useful tool implemented by the search engine in 2005 and allowed users to map their way to destinations worldwide. In 2007 it introduced its Street View function and unleashed a world of mysteries and oddities. Many users now scour the globe looking for less than average sighting and share them on dedicated online forums. One user recently discovered a man in southern England who was caught in a rather painful situation.

A user commented on the picture, saying: “He looks uncomfortable.”

Another added: “That’s gotta hurt.”

How can this have happened and is everything as it seems?

While this bizarre scenario could have more mystical workings at force, it is more likely that its a technological error.

However, if something moves too fast while the images are being taken, or if one image is missed out in the stitching process, it can have hilarious consequences.

It seems the fate of this man was likely to have been a lot more pleasant that the bizarre image makes it seem.

A similar scene unfolded recently in a condo building in Florida.

The distorted Google images made it look as though two whales were swimming in the complex’s pool.
