Susanna Reid has reportedly split from her boyfriend Steve Parish after a year of dating, despite the couple seen cuddling up together at a football game this weekend.
The Good Morning Britain presenter is said to have called it quits with the Crystal Palace chairman as they reportedly struggled to find time for their relationship.
An insider told the Daily Mail of the surprise split: ‘It’s very sad, but they just couldn’t make it work.
‘They both work extremely hard and there wasn’t enough time for romance.’
News of the split comes as a surprise as Susanna, 48, and Steve, 53, were pictured looking very cosy with each other as they watched Crystal Palace play a Premier League game on Saturday.
Steve seemed particularly attentive to Susanna and leaned in as she chatted away.
According to the source, the football outing came as the exes vowed to stay friends and remain bonded over their shared love of the sport.
They explained: ‘They met through their mutual support for Palace and will stay good friends. They watched the match together on Saturday even though the romance was over.’
The insider states nobody one else was involved with the break-up.
Susanna and Steve’s relationship first emerged in November 2018 when they were pictured together after enjoying a romantic trip to Paris.
Their romance blossomed after Susanna’s split from Dominic Cotton, the father of her three children whom she dated for 16 years.
Reflecting on their split, Susanna previously said: ‘Over 16 years, you’re going to change a bit, both of you. Would it have happened anyway? I don’t know. I don’t analyse it.’
The separation came not long after Susanna’s stint on Strictly Come Dancing, on which she was partnered with professional dancer Kevin Clifton.
