GOOD Morning Britain viewers were left stunned as a knife crime guest walked off set before the cameras stopped rolling on today’s show.
Faron Alex Paul was on the programme to discuss how he’s been helping to lower knives on the streets following a recent surge in attacks.
Faron – a 31-year-old dad – told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid that he had in fact been stabbed 18 times across two separate occasions.
He told the telly hosts he now runs an informal amnesty in London which gives those carrying the knives the chance to exchange their weapons for vouchers.
He revealed that many visitors aren’t even interested in the freebie on offer and merely want to get rid of their blade.
People contact Faron on Instagram and he meets them to make the exchange and informs police once the handover is done.
But while Faron is running a smooth vigilante operation, it seemed his TV career didn’t fare quite so well.
After chatting to the hosts, he got up and walked out of the studio, waving goodbye to Piers and Susanna.
Awkwardly, the cameras were still on him meaning viewers got a front row seat of the blunder.
Joking it off, Susanna quipped: “Okay… he’s off, he’s got work to do.”
Piers then added: “He’s got work to do, knives to collect and good luck to him.”
“At least he’ making a difference and I applaud that.”
Viewers at home were amused by the gaffe, with one writing: “How he just walked off after the interview!”
