Good Girls season two has been hotly anticipated by fans ever since it was first shown on Netflix. But while US viewers have been able to enjoy the show since March, UK fans have been patiently waiting for its to make its way across the Pond. Now the show is on its way to our screens we look into everything we know so far about Good Girls series two. 

When will Good Girls season 2 be released on Netflix?

Good Girls season 2 will be arriving on UK Netflix on Friday, May 31.

All episodes will be dropping on Friday for fans who want to begin the weekend with a binge watch of the hit programme. 

The second series has a total of 13 episodes which will run for an average of 40 minutes each.

US viewers have already seen all the episodes, with the finale airing on May 23 in America.

Who will be in the cast of Good Girls season 2?

Much of the original cast seems to be returning for the second series of the show including the three major female protagonists.

The star-studded show stars some recognisable faces, including Christina Hendricks who plays Beth Boland and is well known for her role in Mad Men.

Retta, who is known for playing Donna in Parks and Recreation, will be back as Ruby Hill while Mae Whitman, who fans will have seen in The Duff, is back as Annie Marks.

The American crime-comedy drama was created by Jenna Bans who is known for her work on TV heavyweights Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal. 

What will happen in Good Girls season 2?

The first series of Netflix show Good Girls followed three suburban mums attempting to orchestrate a heist in their local grocery store. 

The mums decided to rob the shop after landing themselves in dire financial situations. 

Viewers followed how all didn’t go quite to plan as the three ended up in a world of crime. 

Season two starts where we left off with Beth cleaning up the aftermath of Rio’s (played by Manny Montana) challenge for her to shoot her husband.

We’ll be finding out what happens next to our favourite mums as they deal with the consequences of their criminal activities.

In a featurette for the new series star Mae Whitman said: “I think season two is a lot darker.”

She continued: “Obviously one of the coolest parts of this show is the relationship between these three women.”

Christina Hendricks added: “These are kicka** women who are in way over their heads.

“I like that there’s a surprise around every corner and that it’s okay to laugh and cry within one episode.”

Is there a trailer for Good Girls season 2?

Yes, the trailer gives us a glimpse at Beth, Ruby and Annie.

One of the first shots we see is Beth cleaning blood up off the carpet and fans will be eager to see what this means in terms of Rio’s challenge at the end of series one.

The trailer shows that as the women get deeper into the world of crime, the stakes become increasingly higher.

Good Girls season two arrives May 31 on Netflix.
