Goldfinger actress Margaret Nolan has died aged 76, it has been confirmed.

The former Bond Girl died on October 5, with filmmaker Edgar Wright confirming the sad news as he remember Nolan on Twitter.

He wrote in a series of tweets: ‘It’s my sad duty to report that actress and artist, the magnificent Margaret Nolan has passed away.

‘I worked with her last year as she plays a small role in Last Night In Soho. She was so funny, sharp and, as you might imagine, full of the most amazing stories. I’m so glad I got to know her.

‘My heart goes out to her family and all that loved her. She will be much missed.’

The English director had cast actress and former glamour model Nolan in his upcoming movie Last Night In Soho, set for release next year in 2021.

Nolan was famed for starring alongside Sean Connery’s James Bond in 1964 movie Goldfinger and fans will know her as the iconic gold-painted model who is seen dancing in the movie’s end credits.

The same year she appeared in A Hard Day’s Night – a musical comedy starring the Beatles – before going on to star in the Carry On films during the 1970s.
