Gogglebox: Real reason Lee and Jenny won’t appear on tonight’s episode revealed

Gogglebox fans will no doubt be saddened to find friends Jenny and Lee won’t appear on tonight’s episode to review the past week’s television.

It has been revealed the pair will be absent as they are on holiday but fans will be happy to see the return of Mary and Giles.

Gogglebox creator and maker, Tania Alexander told her 8,774 followers: “Oi! Oi! Gogglers #gogglebox is almost finished ready for you lovely lot at 9pm #maryandgiles are back.

“@leegogglebox are on hols this week but back on your tellies next. So don’t panic. Plenty of [smiles] tonight. Big love from me and the gogglegang @Vic_Ray.”

Fans were quick to respond and one noted they were thrilled to hear Mary and Giles would make an appearance.

“Whoop whoop. As usual looking forward to the best program on TV and Mary and Giles are back,” they wrote.

“Hope @leegogglebox are having a great holiday ? Will miss their antics. I’ll be watching 9pm C4.”

Another added: “Can’t wait I just love this programme so many laughs x.”

Last week fans were devastated when Mary and Giles failed to make an appearance on the show.

The pair became fan favourites when they joined the show in 2015 and it was clear they were missed.

“#GOGGLEBOX Where’s Giles and Mary tho? @C4Gogglebox,” one viewer asked.

Another commented: “#gogglebox Where are Giles and Mary.”

A third shared: “Missing out on Giles and Mary in tonight #Gogglebox.”

Gogglebx often leaves viewers laughing or crying at the responses of the casts’ reactions to memorable TV moments.

One moment from Sir David Attenborough’s Netflix series Our Planet recently had those tuning in tears.

The cast were shown footage of walruses falling to their death after escaping a packed beach.

The walruses could sense other in the sea below and after edging to close to the end of the cliff, they fell.

Jenny and Lee were forced to look away from the television with fans at home revealing they’d been left in tears.

“Crying my eyes out at the walruses on #gogglebox oh my god, beyond heartbreaking. This is why I can never watch nature shows, I hate it so much,” one viewer tweeted.

Gogglebox airs Friday on Channel 4 at 9pm.
