Ellie and Izzi Warner took to Twitter to reveal tonight’s episode is the last one in the series, with it returning in September.
They wrote on their account: “Can’t believe it’s the last episode of the series tonight!!
“We hope you all enjoy huge thanks as always to the amazing crew and Tanialalexander for making it all happen!
“See you in September for another fab series #gogglebox #thatsawrap #series13.”
Fans weren’t happy with the news with many saying they couldn’t wait until September.
One person commented: “‘SEPTEMBER’ thats light years away flower. Football’ll a started be then.
“Gonna miss you… hurry up September,” said a second fan.
A third said: “Hello ladies, Hope you are both well! We will miss you both. Hope to see you both back in September 19.”
While another added: “Gutted.”
Gogglebox favourites, Lee and Jenny, also revealed the sad news about it being the end of the current series.
They wrote on their Twitter: “Last episode tonight! And what a series it’s been!”
Revealing they won’t be off air for too long, they added: “Keep your eyes peeled for something very exciting pulling up soon with @SuzukiCarsUK #Ad.”
Meanwhile, despite the Channel 4 show ending for a few months, a new celebrity series is set to hit screens.
It was announced Celebrity Gogglebox will be launching in just two weeks time to fill the void.
The show tweeted: “So excited to announce a brand new series!
“Celebrity Gogglebox starts June 14th @ 9pm on @Channel4 #Gogglebox #CelebrityGogglebox #whoisonthesofa #onlytwoweekstowait.”
On tonight’s show, fans were left distracted by Stephen Webb’s husband, Daniel Lustig, who sported some new facial hair.
The reality newbie’s new moustache had viewers talking with one person writing on Twitter: “Daniels tash is freaking me out #gogglebox.”
Another commented: “Daniel on #Gogglebox looks like Michael Hutchence wearing a Groucho Marx mask.”
Celebrity Gogglebox airs on June 14 on Channel 4.
