Glyn Wise unveils his handsome glow-up 15 years on from Big Brother fame


Glyn Wise has revealed his dramatic transformation from nervous teen to hunky man 15 years after first finding fame on Big Brother.

The Welsh reality star, who was on the 2006 series of the now-cancelled series, shared a now-and-then snap of himself showing his ‘glow-up’ over the years as he celebrates his 33rd birthday.

“I know that a lot of people still think of me as an 18 year old that was on #bbuk but I’m actually 33 today! Thanks for the Birthday wishes x Diolch x,” he tweeted alongside the picture.

Wearing a cosy camel coat, a grey bobble hat and a red and white scarf wrapped around his neck, Glyn smouldered into the camera as he posed in the snow.

In contrast, his 18-year-old self grins in an open-necked button down shirt with his brunette locks spilling over his forehead.

The former lifeguard shared his reflections the night before his birthday, revealing lockdown has had its positives.

“Last day of being 32! 33 will be full of positivity & growth. Lockdown has taught me that gratitude, prayer, meditation, exercise & to have a strong connection with God is the key to happiness. X,” he wrote.

He went on to work as a teacher in China and became a born-again Christian

The handsome star last appeared on TV in the summer of 2020 during the one-off special Big Brother’s Best Shows Ever, which was hosted by Davina McCall.

At the time, Davina flirtatiously tweeted Glyn had a “glow up” following his appearance on the show.

“Thanks Davina, always been kind! Thanks for everything, I’m 32 now mind. We really need to get the show back on our screens! I loved every second of it!” he replied.

“Looking back I was too young but I’m forever thankful to @bbuk for changing my life. I’m surprised they didnt call me Gormless Glyn judging at my face on tonights episode. Also – my English communication skills were super poor. #bbuk I wanna go back in lol.” Glyn wrote.

The Big Brother runner-up swapped the spotlight for school as he worked as a teacher in China after the show.

He also stood as Plaid Cymru’s candidate in Cardiff Central in the 2016 election, against 2015 BB finalist Joel Williams for the Tories – but both lost out to the Labour candidate.
