Glossier just announced the launch of a major new break-off brand, Glossier Play. Here's everything we know so far…


Nothing gets the beauty buffs more excited than a surprise product launch from Glossier. Whether it’s an extension to their existing cleanser range, their unique perfume, or their first-ever mascara, Glossier never fails to excite and intrigue.

So, imagine our unadulterated delight when the beloved beauty brand suddenly announced that they are launching an entirely new brand. Early today, founder Emily Weiss took to her Instagram page to reveal a sneak peek of Glossier Play, the second brand from Glossier Inc. On the post, which featured only an image of a spinning ‘G’ from the brand’s logo, the beauty mogul said that Glossier Play will launch in March 2019, “after two years of creation and a lifetime of being inspired by fun and freedom.”

She ended the heartfelt post with a tribute to her team, stating, “words cannot describe how proud I am of this team, and how excited I am for you to begin again with us.”

While very little is known about Glossier Play at the moment, there are certain things we can deduce so far. Firstly, Glossier Play will be fun and creative. Not only does the logo hint at bold pigments and playful textures, but the name in itself suggests a more experimental offering than its predecessor.

The brand does, however, already have its own Instagram page, with the first-ever post of dancer Donte Colley showing off some moves, alongside some seriously empowering and uplifting messages. *Follows immediately*.
