Glastonbury 2020: Aerosmith appear set to join festival line-up

Aerosmith may have inadvertently self-confirmed that they are playing next year’s Glastonbury Festival.

The rock band’s tour schedule for 2020 was reportedly emailed this morning (6 December) to subscribers of their mailing list, and it includes a stop at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday 27 June.

However, the date does not appear on the 2020 tour schedule currently published on Aerosmith’s official site.

If the band’s Glastonbury set is confirmed, it would be a further surprise as Aerosmith claimed in 2017 that their appearance at that year’s Download Festival was to be their final ever UK gig.

The Independent has contacted Aerosmith’s representative for comment.

Only two acts have been announced for next year’s Glastonbury so far, with Paul McCartney confirming his appearance last month (18 November) and Diana Ross confirmed for the festival’s “legends” slot.

Taylor Swift is currently tipped to be another of the festival’s headliners next year, with co-organiser Michael Eavis confirming that one of the two headliners left to be announced is a woman.

“You would love her to bits – everybody does – but no names at the moment,” he told BBC Somerset.
