Glasgow blogger reunites rapper Flo Rida with lost diamond-encrusted ring

It’s not every day you come across a diamond-encrusted ring worth hundreds of thousands of pounds which belongs to a world-famous rapper.

But that is just what happened to Glasgow-based food blogger Jess Tedds.

The 30-year-old, better known as Just Jess Food on Instagram, has spent the last few days living it up with some pals on holiday at a swanky resort in Antigua.

When she went to retrieve her passport from the safe in her hotel room, the influencer was blown away when she came across an NBA championship ring for basketball team Miami Heat tucked away at the back.

She then revealed to more than 12,000 followers on her personal account that the bling belongs to none other than musician Flo Rida, who had been staying in her hotel room before she arrived.

Jess, the girlfriend of Motherwell FC footballer Richard Tait, is no stranger to the fame game, with 108k followers on her Insta page dedicated to all things food and travel.

But even she couldn’t get over the surreal nature of her unusual find – or who it belonged to.

In a series of Instastories, Jess said: “Funny story time: on a mad hunt to find my passport, I came across this ring in my safe in the room…

“A world champion Miami heat full encrusted diamond ring that belongs to the one and only Flo rida  (he stayed in this room day before us).

Flo Rida proudly shows off his ring on his Instagram page before misplacing it

“So I sent him a lil dm to let him know it was in safe hands.

“Turns out the damn thing is worth thousands and thousands and thousands of pounds.

“Actual p*****g myself. It is now returned to its rightful owner as one needs good karma.

“Could have sold the damn thing and bought myself a jet home and a new passport.”

After contacting the Wild Ones artist, Jess proved honesty is always the best policy when she received a delighted response, who said: “OMG thank you so much need ASAP.”

Jess shares a host tasty recipes on her popular Instagram grid weekly where she posts a step-by-step picture guide on how to make each one using fresh and low-calorie ingredients.
