Girls Aloud fans are campaigning to get their song Hear Me Out to number one in honour of Sarah Harding, as she publishes her autobiography.
Sarah recently revealed the heartbreaking news that her cancer has spread from her breast to different parts of her body, in her upcoming book, which is named after the Girls Aloud song.
To share the love for the amazing singer, fans have been buying, playing and sharing the song, with members of the girl group, who have been supporting Sarah, thanking them for their efforts.
Responding to a fan who showed the song at number one on the iTunes chart, Kimberley Walsh said: ‘This is amazing! What a lovely thing you guys are doing Sarah will love this! Everyone go go go download if you can!’
She added: ‘AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Thank you all this is so special what a lovely bunch you are.’
Nicola Roberts added: ‘This is amazing! Thankyou for doing this for Sarah. To be able to tell her this is so special [sic].’
Sarah has also responded to the messages and support she’s been receiving, writing on Twitter: ‘I can’t thank everyone enough for all the kind and loving messages that I’ve received since the weekend.
‘It means so much to me and to my mum. Today’s a special day because it’s publication day for Hear Me Out. At last. I actually can’t believe I’ve done it!’
Hear Me Out is the 39-year-old’s autobiography, and follows her life with Girls Aloud, as well as her cancer diagnosis.
It documents the highs and lows, but a recently released excerpt revealed that Sarah’s treatment has been ‘moving in the right direction.’
‘Before I put this book to bed, I wanted to share a little bit of positive news,’ she wrote in an excerpt obtained by the Daily Star.
‘MRI scans at the end of December revealed that the tumours in my brain and in my lung have shrunk a bit with the treatment.’
The star added that she wasn’t ‘exactly sure that that meant’ but acknowledged that ‘every little victory felt momentous.’
