Geri Horner goes from Peaky Blinder to royal friend as she hangs with Duchess Of Cornwall

Gero horner may have been a Peaky Blinder this week, but now she’s well and truly in with the royal household.

It’s amazing what can happen in the space of a few fays.

After wowing the country with her Halloween outfit as part of the Shelby family, Geri put on something a little more regal to greet Camilla, Duchess Of Cornwall on Thursday.

Camilla, who is Vice-Patron of the Royal Commonwealth Society, was fronting a reception on behalf of the Queen for winners of The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition when she was joined by the Spice Girl.

Wearing a white dress and with her hair tied back, Ginger Spice smiled as she greeted the member of the royal household at Buckingham Palace.

The competition is the world’s oldest international writing competition for schools and was founded in 1883 to promote literacy, expression and creativity among young people throughout the Commonwealth.

With not a Union Jack dress in sight, nor a pair of platform sneakers, Geri (nee Halliwell) posed in a pair of prim pumps and toted a sensible white bag as she chilled in the royal household.

We wonder if she spoke with Camilla about her husband, Prince Charles – whom Geri had previously dubbed a ‘Spice boy’ for his support of the band over the decades.

Charles first met the Spice Girls at a Prince’s Trust event in 1997, where he received kisses on the cheek from band members – and, according to some pundits, a pinch on the bum from Geri.

During their meet in the 90s it was reported Geri ‘pinched’ Charles on the behind, however she later denied it was a pinch and was more of a pat.

Still, it’s not a bad way to spend one’s Halloween, we have to say. And no, this wasn’t a costume.

Geri had already gone hard in the costume department, after dressing as the famous Shelby earlier this week.

In the uncanny costume, and riding a horse, she said in her best Birmingham accent: ‘Alright, it’s not about France or the garrison. We’re all in agreement for generations, killing a man affects the heart.’

‘We can change who we are, but we can’t change what we want. Get to work – cut him,’ she added.

Geri then looked towards some pumpkins and remarked: ‘No rest for you in this lifetime. Maybe the next.’
