Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson has got honest about how she is dealing with being a new mum.

The 27-year-old welcomed her son with boyfriend Casey at the end of October.

The reality TV star ventured out of the house for the first time since giving birth and admitted she was ‘struggling to walk’ and dealing with ‘hormones’.

In a series of clips posted on her Instagram Stories, Marnie spoke to her fans as she enjoyed a drive out and about with Casey, 24.

She said: ‘I’ve been very inactive for the past week. I can’t even explain what it’s like to have a baby, it’s so overwhelming.

‘It’s a lot to adjust to and I needed to take a little bit of time to kind of, come down from the birth and the labour.

‘I had a bad birth experience and a traumatic labour. It did not go to plan which is really upsetting. As long as baby is healthy that’s all that matters.’

Marnie added that she was still trying to get her head around the fact she’s a parent.

She went on: ‘I can’t believe that I’m a mam now. I can’t wait to show you guys the baby. I just can’t wait to show you all him. He’s worth every bit of pain that I went through.

‘This is the first time I’ve been out the house…and enjoying some car ride time.

‘It’s not just me and Casey any more, we’re a family now. It’s crazy. We’ve got our own little family. It’s been a whirlwind.

‘I’m sure I’ll talk more when I’m feeling a bit better, still struggling to walk, but I’m on the mend. But it’s definitely taking its time.’

Marnie was nearly two weeks over her due date and previously confessed she was ‘suffering with major anxiety daily’ about giving birth.
