Gemma Collins ‘worried sick’ after James Argent ‘rushed to hospital from suspected drug overdose’

Gemma Collins is thought to be ‘worried sick’ after ex-boyfriend James ‘Arg’ Argent was rushed to hospital with a suspected drug overdose on Wednesday night.

The 38-year-old Towie star has vowed to support him and has been constantly ringing to check up on him since she found out the news.

‘Gemma is worried sick about Arg,’ a source claimed. ‘When she’s not with him at his home, she is ringing him 24/7 to check that he is okay.

‘She is madly in love with him and has supported him tirelessly for two years – she has been left devastated by his relapse.’

The source then told The Sun that Gemma has thrown herself into Dancing on Ice rehearsals to distract herself but is ‘privately devastated’.

According to reports, 32-year-old Arg was eventually taken to get help after initially ‘refusing’ to go with professionals, who spent three hours with him at his Essex home.

A close friend has now revealed he is ‘desperate to be happy again’.

‘Arg was disorientated and looked like he hadn’t eaten in days,’ they said. ‘He has been in denial of how bad it’s got and convinced everyone he’s fine but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

‘He’s been suffering with depression and has been in a bad place for years. This is another blip in his recovery but it is the wake-up call he needs.’

Gemma and Arg have been on and off since the very early days of The Only Way Is Essex.

Their relationship first started in 2011 on the show, but the pair have had quite the rocky road since then.

There’s been break-ups amd make-ups – but no one is quite sure whether they’re together at the moment now or not.
