Gemma Collins wants everyone to get back on the high street and in the shops – because there is no ‘atmos’.

Boris Johnson recently announced that lockdown measures in the UK were easing, with shops opening earlier this week, amid the global pandemic.

And the Towie star has now urged her followers to take the Prime Minister’s advice and head on a spending spree.

Taking to her Instagram story after she enjoyed a shopping trip to the West End, the 39-year-old said: ‘Like Boris is urging the nation to get back and go shopping, the GC is saying the same thing.

‘Everywhere you go there are masks, hand sanitisers, but it’s lacking atmos. I’m just going to be totally honest… Everyone let’s go back to shopping, let’s get back to the atmos.’

Discussing the safety measures she saw in place, Gemma continued: ‘Everywhere I’ve been today there’s been masks before you go anywhere there are screens up.

‘I urge the you, I urge the country, I urge the nation to get back shopping because it is lacking atmos.

‘So this has been my summary of today, I felt very safe and I felt very protected, I feel that, everyone all the staff in the shops are going above and beyond.’

‘My honest opinion is it feels safe,’ she insisted. ‘Everyone is wearing protective masks. It’s been amazing but it is lacking atmosphere I’m going to be honest.’

To quote Regina George, ‘Get in loser, we’re going shopping’.

The original diva recently opened up about how she was doing in isolation, explaining that having time to herself has done her the ‘world of good’.

Chatting to fans in a live stream, Gemma admitted: ‘Well, to be honest with you, funnily enough, I’ve lost quite a bit of weight in lockdown, because I’ve not been able to eat in restaurants and enjoy myself much.

‘So it’s done me the world of good. It’s been really nice to regroup with the family, and obviously i’ve just really kind of enjoyed having time.

‘That’s been really, really priceless for me, to have time.’

And Gemma has spent a lot of the time thinking about the next chapter in her life – and wanting to start a family.

During a recent interview with the Sun, she added: ‘I would love to have a child.

‘It would be great for me and such a positive message for all the girls out there who don’t want to rush their life or their life has taken different a direction, like me who’s put their career first.

‘But in my forties I’d love everybody to see The GC walking around with a pram.’

We wouldn’t put anything past her.
