Gemma Collins launches meme range for In The Style amid coronavirus pandemic


Gemma Collins has teamed up with In The Style to launch a meme-inspired clothing range featuring her best-known moments.

The former TOWIE regular’s collection comes amid growing concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, as Gemma hopes the funny items will bring some positivity to people during this difficult time.

The 39-year-old reality TV star has titled her collection Queen of Memes as she worked with the Manchester based brand to design a collection of unisex T-shirts, sweaters and hoodies.

The self-proclaimed diva took to Instagram to announce the launch to her 1.6 million followers.

Gemma penned: “Taking ISOLATION to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL ….. We couldn’t do a launch party or a gathering obvs BUT …. I hope you love the collection as much as me.”

Gemma hopes the collection will bring some happiness

She continued: “Self isolate with The GC MEME collection!! That’s right I’ve convinced @inthestyle and @fr15by to let me bring some fun and laughter to us all at a time of need GC STYLE!!

“This range of jumpers, hoodies and T-shirt’s of all my memes are for everyone, all sizes, it’s unisex and AVAILABLE NOW @inthestyle can’t wait to see you all in them, You’re going to LOVE!!”

Gemma explained that a donation of all sales will be made to Age UK to support the elderly during the pandemic.

She explained: “A donation of all sales will also go to @age_uk to help them support the elderly at a really uncertain time.”

Her Instagram post attracted some very positive comments from fellow celebs.

Olivia Bowen wrote: “Yasssss,” alongside a hand-waving emoji, meanwhile Lauren Pope penned: “Amazing,” alongside a heart emoji.

It comes after Gemma was forced to close her shop in Essex, and halt filming on her reality show Diva Forever.

Gemma insisted the key to dealing with the potentially deadly virus is just to stay positive

Writing on her Insta story, Gemma told her fans: “Guys it’s important to listen to advice from the government at this time and ‘stop the spread.’

“We’re in the middle of shooting a new Diva series but we’re going to pause filming with our crew to adhere to the social distancing guidelines.

“BUT I know a little entertainment is needed so don’t worry we’ll just be doing things slightly differently. What this space. Diva Forever.”
