Gemma Collins has been worrying over contracting coronavirus and her concerns saw her even pull out of a trip to China.

She had been booked to visit China this month, but decided against going following the outbreak of coronvirus, that has since become a global threat, with cases being discovered in many other countries and the virus now sweeping through Europe.

As fears over it becoming a pandemic rise, you can understand Gem’s concerns, but ultimately she accepts that if she were to fall ill, she’d suck it up and deal with it.

Speaking to The Guardian, Gemma said : ‘I was supposed to be going to China this month, but with the coronavirus, I don’t wanna risk it… then again, when it’s your time, it’s your time.’

That doesn’t mean she hasn’t been taking precautions, though, and Gemma recently revealed that she took her nephew to Harrods for his birthday and bought him a coronavirus mask, gloves and hand sanitiser to ‘protect himself’.

‘I got a Chinese Coronavirus mask and gloves, and I got hand sanitiser to protect myself from people,’ her nephew said via her Instagram story.

Gemma’s new interview also saw conversation turn to her alter-ego, the G.C, with the reality star admitting that the real her couldn’t be more different.

‘You get the wig on, you put the lipstick on, you get the big eyelashes on and that’s the GC… but when I’m not working, I don’t wear a scrap of make-up,’ she said.

And insisting she’s nowhere near as diva-like as people think, Gemma joked: ‘People just think I lay in bed every day with people fanning me down or bathing in asses’ milk like Cleopatra. It’s not the case. I work, I work and I work.’

Fans can hear Gemma on her new BBC Sounds podcast where she discusses everything from her own life to the problems of her listeners during her agony aunt section.

One recent episode saw Gemma vow never to take her phone into the toilet with her anymore, because she no longer wants to be spied on.

She explained to listeners: ‘I am not taking my phone into the toilet any more. You could be there relaxing on the toilet and the whole time someone is listening and watching. No. No. No.

‘This is not a weather warning, this is a serious warning guys, do not take your phone into the toilet.

‘This is going back to the whole Big Brother thing that I discussed on one of the podcasts a couple of weeks ago – someone is listening, someone is watching us.’

Noted, Gem. Noted.
