Gemma Collins gave Holly Willoughby 'heart attack' in Dancing on Ice blunder

Dancing on Ice ‘s Christmas special kicked off with a bang as TOWIE’s Gemma Collins entered, petrifying Holly Willoughby in the process.

The reality star lunged herself out of a gift wrapped box too early and took Holly by complete surprise.

Even co-host Philip Scofield seemed unnerved at her grand entrance, although we wouldn’t really expect to see anything less than extravagant from the GC.

On the last series of the show, Gemma certainly brought the entertainment factor, after locking horns with ex-judge Jason Gardiner and plummeting to the ice in the most iconic fall of the year.

The reality queen owned the show last night, donning a massive bright-pink frock, complete with a bejewelled tiara.

Louder-than-life Gemma could have easily smashed a few decibels as she blasted “I’m back” while catapulting herself from the gigantic gift and startling the Dancing on Ice presenters in the process.

Alarmed, Holly exclaimed: “Oh my God. Gemma!”

Phil also said: “You might have come out a bit early there, Gem.”

The 57-year-old co-host then prompted Gemma to confirm if she’d be skating again at some point.

In true Diva Forever fashion Gemma spouted: “You never know, it is Christmas, dreams do come true.”

Gemma did however prove that she still has the moves and can skate, as she took to the ice during DOI champ Ray Quinn’s performance.

During an interview on This Morning, Gemma hilariously vocalised that she nearly gave the bombshell and her co-star a “heart attack” as she plunged from the box prematurely.

Speaking on the show last week, Gemma claimed that the error was due to ITV producer Dan Harris.

She said: “When we pre-recorded the show I jumped out so early that I nearly gave Phillip and Holly a heart attack, so sorry about that Phil and Holly.”

Shifting blame, she continued: “It’s nice to say that this time it wasn’t my fault.

“Dan Harris, honestly honey, you’re taking the wrap for this one as it wasn’t me this time.”

Dancing on Ice launches on Sunday, January 5 on ITV
