Gemma Collins finally reveals truth behind heavily bruised eyes after sparking concern

The TOWIE star sparked concern today when she was seen sporting a very bruised and black eye as she enjoyed a shopping trip in Loughton, Essex.

Gemma Collins was seen with an angry purple bruise and swelling under her right eye before covering up with a pair of sunglasses.

In pictures obtained by the Mail Online, the 38-year-old could be seen looking downcast as she chatted with a friend in a store.

However, fans were left wondering what on earth had happened to Gemma, also known as the GC.

Thankfully, they can now rest easy, as the TV babe took to social media to reveal the real reason behind the shocking bruise.

Uploading to her Instagram stories today, Gemma explained that the mark was actually the result of an under eye filler treatment.

Sharing an up-close snap of the nasty-looking bruise, she wrote: “Being honest you can get bruising but it’s all worth it.

“Bruising gone and would totally recommend under eye filler, I will never look tired.”.

She also shared a text message conversation with the doctor that injected her face, stating that the bruising would go down with ice and a compress and that the filler had been injected with a microcannula rather than a needle.

Gemma’s latest outing comes amid claims she has been having £250 weight loss injections.

According to The Sun Online, she has been taking SkinnyJab injections that act as an appetite suppressant.

The publication reported the injections from SkinnyJab “act as an appetite suppressant,” claiming to “remove hunger from the equation”.

SkinnyJab’s website states they are a “tried-and-tested medical revolution which acts as an appetite suppressant” and can help “reduce hunger”.

The injections cost £135 per pop and last from two to four weeks.

Last week it was reported that Gemma – who has openly spoken about her struggle with weight in the past – had issued her on/off boyfriend James Argent with a “weight loss ultimatum”.

A source told Heat magazine that the star had taken her man back on “the proviso that he commits to a healthy eating regime” and spends more time with her in LA
