Gemma Collins fans were left horrified and begging her to break up with James Argent after she revealed he labelled her a ‘fat joke’.
The usually unshakable diva broke down in tears on the latest episode of Diva Forever as friends and family begged her to ditch Arg after he repeatedly mocked her.
He also appeared to be coercing her into buying a house with him – asking for £150,000 for a deposit as he wants to live near his mum…and it would all be in his name.
This rang alarm bells for her mum and brother Russell, telling her that doing so would take her away from everything that she loves as a result – including her family and shop.
She later got a much needed pep talk from Dawn Ward, who was left seething as she revealed the extent of Arg’s treatment towards Gemma.
‘He says to me I’m a fat joke and a car crash,’ she told Dawn. ‘He says to me “You’re only famous because you’re a fat joke.” You’re the fat girl that everyone laughs at.’
Speaking about her relationship, Dawn reckons that he’s trying to put her down to make himself feel better – because he knows that she’s the star.
Gemma later revealed: ‘He text me saying it’s 1 o’clock, I told you to bring me Nandos. Wheres my f**king Nandos?’ before getting mad at her for not promoting his band on social media.
‘For me, to see her tonight, she seemed like a broken woman,’ Dawn admitted. Gemma later admitted that she didn’t remember the last time she was happy.
Viewers saw red and joined Dawn in her pleas for the GC to ditch Arg for good.
When the star’s mum asked why she stayed with him, Gemma was seen crying and admitting she was ‘petrified’ at the possibility of him leaving her.
In a moment of pure tough love, Gemma was told: ‘I don’t think James is ever going to commit to you. I’m sorry. Is he right for you? No.
‘I think he sails off the back of you, you’re scared that if you don’t do everything James wants you to do, he’ll split up with you.’
‘You know what? Do it then, and don’t waste anymore time of your life,’ her mum continued.
James has since apologised for being rude about her appearance in the past.
But most of all she’s in love with her curves – especially her bum – and is more in love with herself than ever.
Which, to be honest, is all that really matters and she doesn’t need someone telling her to feel otherwise.
Take note: Curvy women are amazing, and if someone’s calling you fat, you don’t need that negativity in your life.
James himself has been on a fitness kick following his own weight gain – and is attempting to train to swim the channel alongside Love Island’s Wes Nelson.
Maybe he’ll learn some manners on the way.
