Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville was left stunned by Arsenal wonderkid Bukayo Saka during the Gunners’ 3-2 win against Everton.

The teenager was named on the bench for the visit of the Toffees but entered the fray shortly into the first half after an injury sustained by Sead Kolasinac.

Arsenal were already 1-0 down thanks to Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s early strike but Saka was on hand to provide an exquisite cross for Eddie Nketiah to tap home the equaliser.

It was the youngster’s tenth assist in all competitions this term and Neville was wowed by the quality on Saka’s cross.

‘(Alex) Iwobi goes to sleep a little bit but he doesn’t do too much wrong. But that cross, wow.

‘There is not a lot a defender can do about that and neither can the goalkeeper.

‘The quality of the cross was absolutely outstanding. All you want is your striker in that position and he (Nketiah) is. He gets a good contact on it.

‘It’s harsh to suggest that Arsenal fans were happy that Sead Kolasinac went off but there was a bit of a cheer.

‘What a cross from Saka. I was having a mundane chat because I thought nothing was on’.
