Games with Gold WARNING: Last chance to download these free Xbox game releases

Xbox One owners have been given a last minute warning to download the November 2019 free Games with Gold releases.

Microsoft’s Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb has reminded Xbox Gold subscribers to download Friday the 13th and Star Wars Jedi Starfighter before they are replaced.

Once Friday the 13th is gone, subscribers will be able to download The Final Station from November 16 until December 15 on Xbox One.

Star Wars Jedi Starfighter, on the other hand, will be replaced by Joy Ride Turbo on Xbox 360.

Because of Backwards Compatibility, Xbox One owners will also be able to download and play Joy Ride Turbo.

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter is also available to download until the end of the month on Xbox One.

Xbox Gold subscribers can access the games through the Xbox One dashboard, or by visiting the Xbox website.

The Final Station is described as a “post-apocalyptic adventure about travelling a dying world on a train”.

“The World is over,” reads the official description.

“But it’s not quite over for you… at least, not yet. And now that you’ve got thousands of tonnes of locomotive at your disposal, ready to take you as far down the tracks as you have fuel to feed it, you’ve got the definite advantage over the infected hordes. This is The Final Station.

“The real question is whether or not you’ll help the survivors get to their destinations…. or let them die and loot their bodies. Sometimes people can be more trouble than they’re worth.”

Joy Ride Turbo, meanwhile, is a cartoonish kart racer with 4-player split-screen and online multiplayer.

Introducing Joy Ride Turbo, a controller-based arcade racer delivering precision handling, speed and crazy stunt mayhem!” Microsoft explains.

“In the new Stunt Park, show off your skills or explore and find collectibles that unlock cars, giving you an edge for faster races and death-defying stunts. Plus, race new tracks and old favourites in Battle Race, Pro Race & Time Trial.”

The pick of the month is probably Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter, which has a 66% rating on Metacritic.

“Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter is a fantastic adventure with unique gameplay that blends investigation, action and exploration for an extraordinary experience that will test the limits of your nerves and intelligence.

“Track down evil in the darkest corners of London and the human soul while playing as the great detective, as you untangle a web of intrigue leading to the final stunning revelation.

“Each of your deductions and actions affects the rest of the story, for better or for worse…

“Play as Sherlock Holmes and use his extraordinary abilities to progress through the adventure. Freely explore several of the city’s neighbourhoods in search of clues and suspects. Interrogations, combat, chases, infiltration… discover a game that is unlike any other!”
