Still just a child, the leading Lady won viewer’s hearts in her final moments.
Tragically, Lyanna Mormont met a grim death in Sunday night’s episode of the hit fantasy series.
Lyanna, who is played by actress Bella Ramsey, died when she was crushed by a White Walker giant during the Battle of Winterfell.
Distraught viewers took to Twitter to express their shock over her death, tweeting out their condolences to the fictional character.
One said: “Lady Lyanna Mormont is, and will always be, my Hero.”
A second chipped in: “She died doing and honouring what she was loyal to.”
While a third added: “The single most badass thing I have ever witnessed. Thank you Lady Mormont.”
And a fourth devastated viewer said: “This is a f***ing slaughterhouse!”
Even though she was just a youngster, Lyanna impressed viewers by leading House Mormont after the death of her mother Maege.
She was also the first to declare Jon Snow as the King in the North, during a gathering of the Northern lords at the Winterfell castle.
In Sunday night’s episode, the young Lady refused to stay out of the Battle of Winterfell.
As those around her prepared for the arrival of the dreaded army of the dead, she bravely decided to fight alongside the others.
Lyanna’s death was the first in what viewers were anticipating could be an absolute bloodbath, as the battle raged on.
