Scripts from Game Of Thrones season eight have explained what Bran Stark (Issac Hempstead Wright) got up to during the Battle of Winterfell.

The final season screenplays have been made available at the Writers Guild Foundation Shavelson-Webb Library in Los Angeles, and Insider managed to take a cheeky look at them.

An interesting scene from the third episode of the final season, which aired earlier this year, reveals where Bran had got to after he did his warg thing in the godswood.

The script adds that we were meant to see ‘a massive flock of ravens, bigger than last time [episode 705], converge on Winterfell from all sides, all piloted by Bran.’

Bran would then have seen Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) flying off on dragons in the distance.

Apparently this was him helping to find out where all the troops were located during the Battle of Winterfell, which explains what he got up to during the clash.

However this wasn’t made clear in the actual episode, as we just saw Bran in skinchange mode as the ravens swooping round the Night King, and not actually heading to any other locations to scout.

Recently Benioff and Weiss confessed they didn’t have a clue what they were doing when they started working on Game Of Thrones.

Making a rare appearance at the Austin Film Festival, they said of Game Of Thrones author George RR Martin: ‘We don’t know why he trusted us with his life’s work.’

They admitted to making basic writing mistakes, saying: ‘Everything we could make a mistake in, we did,’ which included script, casting, and even costume design.

To them, the experience was basically an ‘expensive film school’, an opportunity to learn how to write, produce and direct.

Game Of Thrones is available to watch on Sky Atlantic.
