Game of Thrones season 8: New title sequence leaves fans in TURMOIL – watch here

Game of Thrones fans were shocked today as they spotted the title sequence for the series has had a revamp.

The infamous clip opened the final season as the music rang loud to mark the start of the HBO series.

However, it was definitely a lot different than the season seven instalment as it showed fans a glimpse inside important buildings.

Nevertheless, fans were thrown into turmoil over the new titles as they flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One wrote: “Brand new #GameofThrones intro giving me chills.”

Another added: “Me watching that new #GameOfThrones intro…and then the procession!”

“So far so good! That new intro was just stunning! Can’t believe these are the final episodes AHHHH,” said a third.

A fourth commented: “It looks like 50,000 dollars was thrown at the intro. This s**t dope as hell.”

A fifth excitedly added: “Omfg this new intro goes harddddd.”

A sixth shared: “That #GameOfThrones intro music hitting differently for the final season.”

Meanwhile, it was an exciting episode all round for Game of Thrones fans as they finally got to see certain moments they had been waiting years for.

Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) has not seen his siblings in years but finally got to meet up with them again.

Fans were particularly thrilled to see him reconnect with Arya Stark (Maisie Williams).

The pair hadn’t been together since season one, and naturally fans were thrilled to see them back together.

One wrote: “OK, I cried when Jon and Arya reunited.”

A second added: “Jon and Arya reunion Finally My Heart is Full!!!! They’re hugging just like in S1.”

A third commented: “That scene with Jon and Arya seeing each other for the first time!!”

Elsewhere, fans were thrilled to see a mini-clash between Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).

They didn’t get off to the best start and it seems they won’t be the best pals as time goes on.

Game of Thrones season 8 premieres on HBO in the USA on Sunday, April 14 and on Sky Atlantic in the UK on Monday, April 15.
