Game of Thrones season 8: Jaime Lannister and Theon Greyjoy DOOMED after subtle hint?

Game of Thrones viewers are just mere hours away from seeing the nail biting third episode of season eight.

And although they are looking forward to the upcoming Battle Of Winterfell episode, they are also completely worried about the prospect of any upcoming deaths.

While Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) are most likely safe for the episode, no one else seems to be.

And fans aren’t the only people who think big characters will die, as deputy editor of Watchers On The Wall Luka Nieto has recently revealed.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Luka explained exactly why the favourite characters are almost definitely doomed.

He ominously said: “Whichever character you felt most emotionally connected to during this past Sunday’s episode, I’d say they’re at the greatest risk of dying.

“Snark aside, I imagine the show will sacrifice a fair amount of its beloved secondary characters during the Battle of Winterfell.”

While Luka presumably doesn’t know for certain, he does have a point.

Many of the show’s characters had huge emotional moments in episode two of the show last week.

This included Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie), Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), and Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen), who each had some big narrative conclusions in episode two.

Not to mention Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen), who placed himself in harm’s way to protect Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright).

The motley duo will be hanging out in the Godswood, near the Weirwood tree – but does this mean the twosome will avoid all danger? Or incite it further?

Either way, it looks like Jon could ultimately save the day in the end, as suggested by a new fan theory.

Fans recently pointed out the first episode of the show saw an interesting interaction between Jon Snow and Jaime.

Jaime prodded Jon on his new position in the Night’s Watch, in which he said: “Good man, have you swung [your sword] yet?”

To which Jon hit back: “Of course I have.”

But Jaime laughed, before adding: “At someone I mean… strange thing the first time you cut a man, you realise were nothing but sacks of meat, blood and bone to keep it all standing.”

He then added: “Let me thank you ahead of time for guarding all from the perils that lie beyond the wall, wildlings and white walkers and what not. I’m grateful for the good strong men like you protecting us.”

Could this have proven Jon would save Westeros from the threat in season eight?

Game of Thrones continues Sunday on HBO in the USA and the following day on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
