Game of Thrones season 8 episode 3: Beric Dondarrion fate SEALED as he resurrects ally?

Game of Thrones season eight continues this weekend and will see the much-coveted Battle of Winterfell.

Fans of the show are utterly horrified by the notion that their favourite characters could be killed off in this onslaught from the undead.

And many of the characters are certainly about to be put on the chopping block as only three episodes are left after this week.

But Beric Dondarrion (played by Richard Dormer) may play a huge part in the upcoming battle, and could even sacrifice himself.

Beric is renowned for being resurrected a number of times throughout the show by his friend Thoros of Myr (Paul Kaye).

However Thoros was tragically killed in season seven, episode six Beyond the Wall.

Without Thoros around to bring him back again, Beric is certainly going to have to look after himself a little better.

But that won’t stop him from somehow granting his gift of life to someone else.

Fans of the show have begun suggesting Beric will attempt to save another heavy hitter on the show by giving his life to someone else to save them.

A fan on Reddit recently theorised: “Beric will use his Kiss of fire or something similar to it in episode3 before he dies. I’m almost certain this will happen as this was always his fate in the books. The fact that they wrote out Lady Stoneheart leaves his story arc open.

“I doubt the writers decided to give him anymore of a larger role since it would impact the story tremendously, therefore the only thing that Beric can do before he dies is resurrect another character. But who?”

It would be fitting if Beric resurrected Sandor Clegane (Rory McCann) – considering Sandor killed Beric once back in season three.

Or perhaps Beric will bestow his life on on of the show’s big players, such as Gendry (Joe Dempsie) – who has a legitimate claim for the throne.

Or could Beric bring Jon Snow (Kit Harington) back to life once again?

Jon is surely one of the most important people in the show – both politically and socially – but could he receive another fatal blow from the Night King (Vladimir Furdik)?

Meanwhile it has also been theorised Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) is going to be killed by Arya Stark (Maisie Williams).

The latest images released by HBO for episode three show Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) looking completely upset.

With many fans thinking Sansa is going to be killed off soon, could Arya eventually vow to “protect” her brother, Jon, and kill Danerys?

If so, this would absolutely ruin Jon’s plan to keep Daenerys as his queen in coming episodes.

Game of Thrones continues Sunday on HBO in the USA and the following day on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
