Game of Thrones fans outraged after President Donald Trump ‘RUINS’ show

A tweet shared by US president Donald Trump on Thursday morning has been met with anger from Game of Thrones fans, after he sampled the show’s imagery.

The tweet featured an image of President Trump with his back turned, overlaid across an iconic Game of Thrones scene.

Along with this, the snap had the words “Game Over” stamped across the front in the same font and style of the hit HBO show.

It seemed the tweet – which was posted before the release of a redacted version of the Mueller Report today – was a way for the President to weigh in on the long-awaited findings.

However, fans were outraged by the president’s attempt at a comedic tweet and hit back at Donald Trump for tarnishing their beloved series.

One said: “Don’t f***ing disrespect Game of Thrones.”

While another snapped: “I am offended you are tarnishing the image of Game of Thrones.”

A third said: “Stop trying to ruin Game of Thrones.”

And a fourth added: “Don’t insult Game of Thrones like that.”

The eight season long series has proven that its fans are a force to reckon with after episode one of the final season reached record breaking streaming figures.

The show has been on screens for almost 10 years and is now ending with its final season that opened last week.

Game of Thrones airs on Sundays on Sky Atlantic.
