Warning: This article contains Game of Thrones spoilers.

The snow-white pooch has become something of a fan-favourite over the years.

Jon Snow’s direwolf, Ghost, can always be seen by his master’s side in the hit TV series Game of Thrones.

But viewers were distraught when they noticed the pup’s absence after the Battle of Winterfell, worried that he had died in the frenzy.

While season eight, episode three saw plenty of bloodshed, it was Ghost’s fate that had people fretting the most.

One of the last of the Stark’s six puppies, fans took to Twitter to plea for Ghost’s survival.

One said: “Hello, 911? Yes, I’d like to submit a missing person report. His name is Ghost. Please, we are all very concerned.”

A second added: “Oh man, please tell me the wolf survived.”

While a third asked: “Is Ghost dead? I need to know.”

And a fourth gasped: “I will not rest until I know what happened to Ghost…”

Luckily, a few clever viewers picked up on a hint from the preview of next week’s episode.

In one shot, a white pooch that looks identical to Ghost can be seen walking as part of a crowd.

Relieved GoT fans took to social media to reveal that the hound most likely survived the battle.

One said: “Everyone relax! Ghost made it.”

And a second chirped: “Spotting Ghost in the episode four trailer means we can all sleep happy!”

Other characters, unfortunately, weren’t quite as lucky.

Beloved cast members like Lady Lyanna Mormont, Theon Greyjoy, and Jorah Mormont fell in the bloodshed.
