Yet another leak regarding Samsung’s next Galaxy installment suggests the phone will come equipped with the company’s ultra-high resolution camera.

Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the matter, reports that Samsung plans to ‘overhaul’ the Galaxy S11’s camera which includes outfitting the device with its landmark 108 megapixel lens – the highest megapixel lens of any mobile device on the market.

The unprecedented lens was first included in a device from smart phone maker, Xiaomi, last month and boasts extremely high resolution which allows users to crop into images without compromising quality.

Xiaomi says the resolution means that users can shoot pictures that are capable of being expanded into ‘billboard-level prints up to 4.24 meters high.’

The 108-megapixel camera was built in partnership between Xiaomi and Samsung and is a little more than an inch in size, which makes it slightly smaller compared to other high end sensors on the market.

A ultra-high resolution lens will be accompanied by three others, including an ultra-wide angle lens and a 5x optical zoom according to the report.

News of the camera comes after several leaks regarding the nascent addition to Samsung’s Galaxy lineup.

According to leaks from SamMobile, the device may also eventually be capable of capturing 8k video.

Renderings designed from other leaks also show the device with a hole-punch style front-facing camera and a modular camera array fixed to the phone’s backside.

Bloomberg also reports that Samsung will likely include the 108-megapixel camera in its upcoming foldable phone that collapses vertically like a clamshell.

That device has yet to be anointed with a name and is expected to be unveiled alongside the Galaxy S11 in February.
