Gail Porter has made it home safe after being stranded in Spain as the country went into a two-week coronavirus lockdown.
The Scots TV presenter, 48, flew out to a Marbella resort last Monday and was still there when Spanish authorities declared a state of emergency on Saturday.
Shops, restaurants, bars, clubs and all but essential services have all been shut across the country in a bid to tackle the spread of the potentially deadly bug.
After the Spanish Government issued sweeping restrictions, all residents were instructed to stay at home and self-isolate, whether they were showing symptoms of the virus or not.
They are only allowed to go outside if they are going to a store or pharmacy to buy essential supplies, going to work, or going home.
Jet2 and Easyjet have both pledged to get travellers home to the UK, but there was a massive backlog and troops were being stationed at Spanish airports to control the situation, as thousands of panicked holidaymakers flocked to try and catch flights.
But luckily, Edinburgh-born Gail managed to fly back to London and announced today to fans that she “made it home” earlier today.
And she later updated her plans for the foreseeable, to spend time with her moggy, as the UK faces increased restrictions in the fight against COVID-19.
A second person has died in Scotland after contracting the virus, with 24 new cases confirmed today, taking the total number up to 195.
Measures brought in to tackle the spread will “change life as we know it”, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said.
Speaking during a briefing at Scottish Government headquarters in the capital today, she advised people who showed symptoms of Covid-19 – namely a persistent cough or a fever – should self-isolate for 14 days, along with every member of their household.
Ms Sturgeon also advised people to increase their efforts to “socially distance”, by refraining from going to places with a high concentration of people such as pubs or cinemas.
